Fatou is an entrepreneur with experience in 3D printing. Currently, she is the Managing Director of Make3D Company Ltd, the first and only 3D printing company in Gambia focusing on 3D printing in healthcare, education, and general manufacturing.
In March 2022, Fatou was awarded the most outstanding woman in STEM in Gambia by SheAwards, Gambia. She is also a 2022 Mandela Washington Fellow and was a finalist for the Royal Academy of Engineering’s Africa Prize for Engineering Innovation 2021. She previously worked as a maintenance technician at the Gambia National Petroleum Corporation for four years. She provides access to 3D printing technology to Gambian youth, experts, and entrepreneurs to develop local solutions for local problems.
